Getting Started

Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to CrossFit Prospect Heights is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit Prospect Height's classes. These are our Elements class. These THREE classes are for first-timers only and meet for one week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, either at 8:30 am or 8:30 pm.

Elements class are kept to very small sizes to ensure one-on-one attention. As you work through the THREE consecutive sessions you and your fellow newcomers will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. Elements class is the perfect place to ask questions and make some new friends before transitioning into our regular classes. Attendance and participation is mandatory, so if you are unable to make a session, contact us and we will work with you to reschedule. For a schedule of Elements class, check here.

If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another certified location, you may be eligible for CrossFit Prospect Height's Test-Out option. We offer a one-hour private session with our trainers to review your fitness level and knowledge of CrossFit. If you are able to demonstrate competency in CrossFit movements, you may wish to consider this Test-Out opportunity.
